Manufacturer and marketer of innovative medical devices Mediplus commissioned Mustard Design to produce a 3D animation of their S-Cath Seldinger Suprapubic Catheter Kit.
Previous videos of the S-Cath being used in a clinical setting were filmed first hand making them procedurally and visually accurate, however also some what unpleasant to watch. Mustard's task was to accurately replicate the procedure and not only give the viewer a more comfortable, diagrammatical experience but also show what was going on underneath the skin - something the film camera couldn't show.
Straplines were added for extra clarity and to emphasise the advantages of the product to both the clinician and the patient.
Demand for the animation is international with Mediplus requiring translated versions in French, German, Italian and Spanish.
